Lord George Robertson

Former NATO Secretary General and UK Secretary of State for Defence

Lord Robertson was tenth Secretary General of NATO from 1999-2003 and UK Secretary of State for Defence from 1997-1999. During his time at NATO he announced the invoking of the self-defence guarantee, Article 5 – the first time in NATO’s history.

With a remarkable 21-year tenure in the British House of Commons and contributions as a member of the Shadow Cabinet, he is a respected political figure appointed to the House of Lords in 1999.

Currently, Lord Robertson is the Chancellor of the University of Dundee and holds senior roles at The Cohen Group and other prestigious organizations. His previous executive positions span various industries, and his advisory expertise benefits institutions like Chatham House and the Atlantic Council. A recipient of the highest international honors, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Lord Robertson is also a prolific writer for leading publications. Gabriele Semino

Project Lead TUM Hyperloop, Technical University Munich

Gabriele Semino has been actively involved in the development of hyperloop technology since 2016 and is the project lead of TUM Hyperloop research and development programme at the Technical University of Munich. Under his direction, TUM Hyperloop has launched Europe's first passenger-size hyperloop demonstrator, pushing the boundaries of ultra-fast, emission-free travel and conducted the first passenger test under full vacuum conditions. A winner of the 2017 and 2018 SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competitions, Gabriele is also the founding chairman of the NEXT Prototypes e.V. in innovating future technologies.
