Linklaters advises Waterland Private Equity on the sale of coeo Group to doValue Group

Linklaters comprehensively advised Waterland Private Equity (“Waterland”) on the full sale of the coeo Group (“coeo”) to the doValue Group (“doValue”). coeo Group specialises in receivables management and the acquisition of receivables. In addition to its sites in Germany, the group is now also present in the United Kingdom, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, and the Netherlands. doValue, headquartered in Rome, is the leading provider in Southern Europe for the management of credit portfolios and real estate portfolios arising from non-performing loans.

Linklaters also advised Waterland extensively when it entered into its growth partnership with coeo in 2018, during which time company founder Tom Haverkamp retained a significant minority stake. During its partnership with Waterland, coeo has developed into Europe’s leading technology-driven debt collection company.

Completion of the transaction, which values coeo at an enterprise value of at least 350 million, is subject to approval by the relevant financial supervisory authorities and is expected to occur in the coming months.
