Overview

Claire is a partner in the Luxembourg investment funds group.

Claire's expertise encompasses a robust suite of services within the investment funds sphere, including the sophisticated structuring of Luxembourg alternative investment funds. Her knowledge spans a variety of private market classes such as private equity, real estate, infrastructure, debt, and hedge funds.

Claire's proficiency extends to developing intricate co-investment structures and crafting tailored managed account platforms, catering to the unique needs of institutional investors. She further covers fund regulatory matters and provides day-to-day assistance to asset managers, both in the regulated and unregulated investments funds sphere.

Her keen insights into retail investor funds, including UCITS, UCIs and ELTIFs, position her as the legal advisor of choice for flagship funds managed by industry-leading asset managers.

Claire has been recognised as a European Rising Star by Law.com in 2025.

Claire has acted for and advised, among others:

  • LaSalle Investment Management on a number of real estate fund and their SFDR implementation project.
  • CBRE Investment Management on the establishment of their open-ended European residential fund. 
  • Aberdeen Standard on the establishment of several of their real estate funds and ongoing advice on their fund of real estate funds structures.
  • Aviva Investors on the establishment of their Perpetual Capital Fund, an open-ended value add and opportunistic real estate fund.
  • Partners Group in the setting-up of several of their private equity, infrastructure and private debt funds.

Professional experience

Claire actively participates in various activities organised by fund industry bodies and holds membership in multiple working groups (regarding, notably, distribution matters, management companies’ activities in Luxembourg and retail funds.) In addition, she is co-chairing the UCITS eligible assets working group of the Luxembourg fund industry association (ALFI).

Education and qualifications

Claire holds a Degree in law from the University of Aix-en-Provence (France), a Master’s degree in law from Stockholm University (Sweden) and Ludwig Maximilian University (Germany) as well as an LL.M. from the University College of London (UK).
